Anna comes from Canton, south of China and started playing the piano at the age of three. She won her first keyboard competition at the age of 5 and her playing was broadcasted on the local radio. After moving to the UK in 2000, Anna studied at The Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh for three years, and then at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow. She gained a first-class honour in Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance in 2007, and in 2009 she graduated with Master in Music in piano performance.

At the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Anna studied with Britain’s renowned teacher Philip Jenkins, and then with concert pianist Jonathan Plowright. She was very active in performing, both as soloist and chamber musician. During her studies  she also worked a lot with singers and had many opportunities to perform in and out of the conservatoire. Anna’s studies at the RCS were supported by RCS Trust, Else and Leonard Cross Memorial Trust, MBF Music Education Awards and Yamaha Education UK. Her concerts include a solo piano recital at the Edinburgh Festival in 2010, and a piano recital at the Steinway Hall in London in April 2011.

After playing the piano for her first ballet class in 2011, Anna has developed a passion for ballet, and has enjoyed working as a ballet pianist since.

Anna moved to London in January 2012 and is working as a pianist for ballet, accompanist and piano teacher.
